just some dopey nostalgia. i spent the entirety of what i consider my childhood riding around in a navy blue 86 Chevy Celebrity wagon.
even if that weren't the case i'd still wish these kid-toting road warriors back into popularity and stomp the SUV into obscurity. we didn't need a TV screen or out own AC. no. we had vinyl seats, covered in gummy bears heating up nicely in the sunlight of a panoramic back window presenting us with all the sights and wonders the interstate could offer. and a portable tape player. plus you got to ride backwards! i mean COME ON.
oh and also we weren't a rolling manifestation of human insecurity sucking the world dry of resources and automatically killing anybody driving a vehicle smaller than our own with whom we collided because we were changing DVDs to shut the kids up.
lol ... man I miss our Sigma. Station wagaons rock. I think I've asked you before but what are those iconic US station wagons with the wood panelling that are so ever-present in Hollywood movies of the 80's?

Oh man, we used to have a Bronco, an 86 Ford Bronco that was fantastic. it traveled cross country with us and did everything, from texas to north carolina to florida and back to texas, and it was bought in Germany lol. Oh the days. I hate SUV's though, there's no need for you to have such a large vehicle. We moved a shit ton, do you? You only have two kids, you don't need a bazillion seats, you own a fucking tank dude! Your gas sucks and you're only stroking your own ego by owning that huge Escalade.
And don't get me started on mini vans.

i'd still rather take back the days of the minivan than the SUV. okay before the Odyssey and the advent of the backseat TV.
why do kids/manhood automatically equal a huge truck or SUV? are you ALWAYS ferrying the entire soccer team around? is it unsanitary for children to sit ass-to-ass three deep in the backseat? i used to love when st a sleepover/birthday party we'd drive somewhere and the car was crowded. it was different, and fun! and it wasn't unsafe i mean FFS everyone had a seatbelt.
people seem to have some kind of stigma that driving a car that isn't a Mercedes M-class or a Dodge Charger is for single women only.
sport wagons! i completely forgot about that arbitrary category. XD i love it! i drive a hatchback... kinda like a wagon technically... only no one can legally ride back there. X)
