i got the dumb idea in my head (don't have
enough to do) to get four done. since i noticed a stark spring/fall contrast betwixt the burds here and
here.i'm very happy with these guys. unlike the nightjars i didn't need to stare at the staggering twelve photos available on the internet for ten and a half hours hours to iron out why mine didn't look right. and i think for the first time i drew them close to properly.
well they're still fantastical "LOA-ized" rooks with their big choppy hoodfeathers and purple eyes.
but you get it.

Put em' out in the sun and they ain't so scary!! Love the purple theme. Rooks and purple seem to go hand in hand.
and i found out ( i remember telling you i was wrong about the grackles) that those things i call "sea world birds" are actually grackles. my whole life i thought they were purple martins.
this has been a big year of me saying and doing or thinking dumb shit lol.
